Hello!

My Story

I am a writer, author, poet, spoken‑word artist, and creative communicator who believes deeply in the transformative power of words. Storytelling has always been my way of making sense of the world - of stitching together faith, experience, and imagination into something that can uplift, challenge, and inspire.

My journey has been shaped by resilience. Growing up in foster care and navigating life with cerebral palsy taught me early on that strength is often forged in the unseen places. Losing my birth mother and never knowing the steady guidance of a father left gaps that only God could fill. Yet through every season, joyful and painful, He has been faithful. My life is a testament to His protection, His purpose, and His ability to turn broken pieces into something beautifully whole.

Education became one of my greatest tools for rising above adversity. I began studying Computer Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University before sudden homelessness forced me to pause. Refusing to give up, I returned to Guilford Technical Community College to earn my associates in political science, then transferred to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to complete my bachelor’s in political science with a pre‑law concentration.

My passions run deep: God, my church family, writing, reading, and creative interior decorating. I am also walking boldly through life after surviving ovarian cancer, which is another chapter that strengthened my faith and sharpened my purpose.

Today, I am focused on building physical strength, deepening my spiritual walk, and expanding my creative calling. Through The Stitch & Scripture Collective, I offer a space where writers, readers, and creatives can grow together. Here, you’ll find:

  • Faith‑centered writing inspiration

  • Creative resources, templates, and guides

  • Classes and workshops for emerging writers

  • Publishing support and services

  • A community that encourages bold storytelling and spiritual growth

My mission is simple: to help others break through their limitations, embrace their God‑given voice, and create with confidence.

If you ever want to know more, just ask. My story is still unfolding, and I’m an open book.
